Dr. Richard Jewel Rose is the proud Pastor and Founder of Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX, which he has lead since 1972.

He loves helping people to develop and become empowered professionally, educationally, and most importantly, spiritually. Following his passion for empowering people, Pastor Rose founded the Oikodome School of Biblical Studies, now named Oikodome Bible Institute. He has long been a mentor to many pastors and ministers and continues to encourage and motivate them with his own perseverance. Dr. Rose's repertoire of accomplishments and theological training includes, but is not limited to, B.A., March of Faith Bible Institute; B.A., Texas Southern University; M.A., Houston Graduate School of Theology; M. Div. and D. Min. from Faith Seminary.

He has traveled the world teachinng the doctrines of the Holy Bible and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. This phenomenal teacher formerly served as adjunct instructor at Texas Southern University and Houston Community College. He will soon become adjunct faculty at Faith Seminary, Tacoma, Washington.

Richard Jewel Rose has been married to Sundrell Rose for 52 years and has two children, Richard Jeremiah and Tabitha Sundrell, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dr. Rose is a native Houstonian, and as such, he has a great affinity for this great city and its citizens. His life's work evidences his commitment to the integrity of God's word and remains unchanged in this devotion despite ever-changing religious trends.
